Greetings:
The April club meeting will be Tuesday the 16th at the Chesterfield Cabela’s store starting PROMTLY at 6:30 pm. Please arrive ahead of time. as we have a guest speaker. Doctor Brooks, a veterinarian, will start off the meeting discussing First Aid for dogs. Dr. Brooks has graciously offered his time to inform and educate our members on caring for dogs. He is available to answer and discuss questions you may have regarding what to do in certain situations and other burning questions. Let’s have a good turn out for him. Following his presentation we will need to finalize our May hunt test. Additional items for discussion will be club training sessions and the purchase of a yearly club membership to use the training grounds at Crooked Foot Hunt Club. These club activities benefit all our club members, but also require some type of financing. Which bring up our primary fund raisers for the year. As voted on and approved by the membership there is currently a pheasant hunt raffle and future goose hunt raffle to help defray the costs of these and other club requirements. That being said we need our members to step up and either purchase or sell tickets. A few members have already sold tickets but we really need all our members help to make these a success.
The March club meeting is at the Cabela’s Store located at 45959 Town Center Blvd. Chesterfield Mi, 48047 starting at 7:00PM. The store is between 20 and 21 mile road off the I-94 expressway. The coming meetings are important in order to prepare for our May hunt test.

The January meeting will be held at the Huron Pointe Sportsman’s Association Club starting at 11:30am. Club election for the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, 1 year and 2 year board member are open. Bill Ferrans is the election coordinator, if you wish to run for an office or nominate someone for an office please contact him. Recognition of club members and their dogs achievements for this past year will be awarded. We will start eating around 12:30pm. Huron Pointe is located at35800 E. The club meeting will start at 6:30pm in the main parking lot at Wetzel State Recreation Area. This will be the last major meeting for the year. Try to attend and help with the upcoming club events. Remember to bring a chair and jacket.
The August meeting will be at the Wetzel State Recreation Area in the main parking lot starting at 6:30PM. Along with regular club business, training, mowing and additional fund raising needs to be discussed. If anyone has tickets or money for the Goose Hunt Raffle bring it to the meeting. Heritage Days at the Huron Pointe Sportsman Club will be August 26, 2018. If you are planning to attend please notify John Nowakowski ph. 586-790-3485. Come and run your dogs with the kids, always a good club event. If you need a hunter safety class there will be one the week of August 13, 2018 at the Huron Pointe Sprortsman Club, contact John Nowakowski for more information. The next club meeting will be June 12, 2018 at the Wetzel State Recreation Area in Lenox, Michigan. The meeting will start at 6:30pm in the main parking lot. We will discuss the past hunt test, training programs and club picnic among other member concerns. Please make an effort to come out and support the club. Remember to bring a chair for yourself. Tickets are available for this hunt package from Sean Houtekier or John Nowakowski@586-790-3485. Great hunt for 5 people for the upcoming season. All proceeds are used to improve the grounds at the Wetzel State Recreation Area in Lenox, Mich.
